Each element of a wood storefront is crafted in our workshop located in Winchester, Virginia.

Traditionally detailed, a storefront is all part of giving a building a welcoming face.  The historic details in our wood storefronts are visual as well as in the building method. We use naturally rot resistant wood and time-tested mortise and tenon joinery.  In old buildings, they are especially tricky, as the openings are not plumb and square.  We recently completed this storefront, and made it using Sapele wood, a very rot resistant species.

We can provide the millwork, execute an architect’s plan, or help you to create a design.

Glass and copper is a beautiful combination with wood.  The Sapele woodwork, and insulated tempered glass units are capped off with copper detailing.

I love doing traditional millwork, and this project was intended to make the three separate spaces unique.  Chris Robare, our cabinetmaker, was the brains behind this execution.
