At the Vintage Workshop, we fabricate any custom millwork. From handcrafted cabinetry and architectural trim, to windows and shutters. Our workshop combines traditional craftsmanship with modern techniques that stand the test of time.

Custom Designs

Our shop is equipped to handle everything from hand-carved details and shaped profiles to precision CNC work, giving us the range to tackle virtually any design at any scale.

Millwork Offerings

We replicate any type of millwork in support of our construction and preservation projects. We have the ability to match moldings, make replacement parts for historic windows, and craft new, replica wood windows. In our field projects, the goal is to leave and preserve as much original material as possible; we do not remove and replace unless absolutely necessary. Therefore, making replica parts is essential.

Here we see a built in bookshelf using traditional sawtooth brackets, inset doors and drawers all painted with linseed oil paint. Stonewalls that have been whitewashed. A brass lamp attached to the top of shelf overhead illuminating the space. Below the bookshelf we see a custom slot built to hold firewood.

Custom beadboard-and-batten wooden door, face-nailed with square cut nails, hung on three hand-forged iron strap hinges with penny terminals. Period hardware includes a hand-forged iron box lock with turned knob and a brass deadbolt cylinder. Set in a white-painted traditional casing. Consistent with Colonial or early American interior joinery.

Federal-style palladian fanlight in rubble limestone, painted cream. Custom semicircular transom with sunburst muntin pattern and projecting keystone. 6-lite double-hung sash below, set in a dressed voussoir arch.
